This program is in direct alignment with these principles. Both Erica and I have completed this program and I'll tell you what, it changed my life and I know it will make a difference in your life too. Try some new things, enjoy life, savor and sample it all. Live fully.
Drs James, Roger, Debra and Erica - thank you for bringing the Wellness Program to Mile Hi. I am 57, over weight and under active - 2010 is my year to take care of my 'Body Temple'. .I am excited about your program.Thank you for the daily menus and shopping lists - I need that structure. A couple questions -I didn't hear anything about decaf coffee Monday night - I know you said no coffee but is decaf ok? My employer offers Wellness Exercise classes - yoga and pilates at lunch for an hour each - can I substitute these classes instead of your DVD on the days they offer them or should I do both? Thank you again, Robin George
ReplyDeleteHi Robin,
ReplyDeleteSure, you can have decaf - but again, beware of the chemicals if it is not organic, Swiss water processed, etc. Yes you can substitute those classes on the days offered. All movement is good movement. Aim for no more than 2 cups decaf and add in the green tea if you aren't already doing that. Keep up your commitment and go for it!
Thank you Drs James, Debra, Roger and to Erica for the wonderful offering Monday night! My husband and I are doing the program. We had already have been using as much organic as we are able and exercising every day, however, we were derailed a bit by the holidays. Now not only are we back on track now but in a really great way. Everything you suggest is sensible and do-able. I am especially happy about the non-inflammatory benefits of the plan, as I (at 66) have been experiencing some joint and back pain and not getting enough relief from supplements. After re-reading an article I found on the internet about imbalance in hormones, I was reminded of that connection. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU all for this! We are on board!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so welcome and thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a week makes. In the past week since our seminar. I have turned to a Gluten Free, Sugar Free diet. I accidently lost 7 pounds. I figured I would follow some of your diet but not be too concerned with loosing weight until I found the foods I would like in it. This is a completely different way to live. I love the foods and feel full more than I ever have. My allergies seem to have dramatically reduced their effects on my body in the last 3 days. WOW. I will no lopnger spend a day without reaching that extra inch.
ReplyDeleteI also want to thank you for this program and look forward to incorporating healthier eating into my life. I do have a question however in regards to soy and hypothyroidism as well as post menopausal women on natural hormone supplements. Do you see any reason to substitute the soy in your diet for other food items in these situations? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteWe generally do not recommend eating a lot of soy or soy milk for individuals with hypothyroid - there should be enough variety in the program for you to avoid it. If you are already on the natural hormone supplements then you should be good to go.
